Til Death Do Us Part

Til Death Do Us Part, a podcast where a married couple talks about death.

Drawing on their work as an author and pastor, co-hosts Christiana and Matthew Peterson discuss how our culture often ignores death, the most mysterious of human experiences, and how looking more deeply at our mortality might also be life-giving.

We’ve been working on this for months…but, really, it’s been a project many years in the making.

My writing has been steeped in Memento Mori for a while now (see my book Awakened By Death) and Matthew’s work as a pastor has taken him to sacred spaces where death has to be faced, over and over again.

He and I talk about death all the time. So we thought we'd bring you into these conversations.

Every two weeks (starting next week), we’ll drop a new episode in which we’ll talk more about the importance of confronting our death, Christianity’s perspective on death, and the wisdom of the mystics.

We’ll also discuss Memento Mori (or remembering your death), mourning, and funeral rituals. I’ll even do a mini-episode on Halloween.

Ultimately, we hope that this podcast can be a gentle Memento Mori for you and for us and that we’ll discover together that looking more deeply at the reality of death can also be life-giving.

Right now, we have about 8-10 episodes planned. We hope you’ll join us!
